Quelques heures aprés avoir quitté la Caleta Horno, le vent tombait complètement. Nous avons donc continué au moteur et ce pendant 19h! C”est assez incroyable de se retrouver sans vent dans les “quarantièmes ruggissants!” On a décidé de passer devant Puerto Deseado pour capter du résau wifi afin de télécharcher la méteo et éventuellement d’attendre jusqu’à ce qu’il y ait assez de vent car le fichier téléchargé a Peninsula Valdez annonçait encore 24h sans vent. heureusement, le dernier bulletin qu’on vient de prendre indique qu’il aura du vent et Philippe Rogge le confirme. Il vient de m’envoyer son analyse météo et même un routage suggéré. Donc on a juste fait un tour dans la rivière devant la ville et on continue notre route vers le Sud. Il reste 400 milles à faire pour arriver à l’ïle des Etats. En principe, cela devrait durer 48h s’il y a un bon vent. Je pense qu’il faudra compter une demi journéé en plus. E, tous cas, il y un, grand soleil mais l’air est frais.

A few hours after leaving Caleta Horno, the wind dropped completely. So we continued with the engine for 19 hours! It’s quite incredible to be without wind in the “roaring forties”! We decided to go past Puerto Deseado to get some wifi in order to download the weather forecast and eventually waited until there was enough wind because the file downloaded at Peninsula Valdez was still forecasting 24 hours without wind. Fortunately, the last bulletin we just took indicates that there will be wind and Philippe Rogge confirms it. He just sent me his weather analysis and even a suggested routing. So we just took a turn in the river in front of the city and we continue our route south. We have 400 miles to go to get to the island of the States.
